It’s August. Summer is already passing us by in a rain drenched, when-does-it-start haze..but praise be for small mercies. Field Day London’s COOLEST festival, pitches up in Victoria Park this weekend and the weather gods are promising SUN. Here at EIC towers we can see Victoria Park from our windows. Excited. Little. Kidadults.
Gone are the days of no toilets, five hour bar queues and inaudible music…Field Day is one of the best festivals anywhere. Year-on-year they have been upping their game, with new stages, bigger acts, a better site and even a village green full of ye olde English games. We say COOL.
The full line up is alphabetical which is nice.. but here’s some of the bands we’ll be doing the one-step two-step shoulder shuffle to.
Every DJ set I’ve seen him play I’ve been disappointed but, any time he has played his album, it has been incredible. Here’s hoping it works on a festival stage…
As always Four Tet will be unmissable. I still remember the first time I saw ’em at Benicassim in 2005. It’s still top 5..
These guys got a lorra lorra love last year and that was just from us. But there’s enough to share..
Needs no introduction…
We reviewed their new album a few months back and loved it. They are so good live they do funny things to yer insides.
If you haven’t already get your tickets here and come play with EIC on Saturday August 6th.
